Conceptual Framework:
Research Question and Design
Does Interfaith Dialogue lead to increased compassion towards members of other faiths and if so what process leads to that change
From talking to several peers and in exploring some of the ideas posed on the discussion tables, I designed a questionnaire protocol that will set to explore the intricacies of Interfaith Dialogue practices (See Appendix 1). The purpose of these exploratory research questions is to better understand the problems of practice in Sustaining and Improving Initiatives of Christian-Muslim Interfaith Dialogue, I will Interview 16 Leaders in Interfaith Dialogue form the Middle East. They will be two Christians and two Muslim Leaders from initiatives of Interfaith Dialogue each of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. The interviews will be using the research question as a foundation; offering better insights into the issues and conclusions developed to support the research theme and its practical implications. The interviewee will have a different perspective on the issue at stake in mind helping shape a better understanding of the topic. The Sample will be divided in three main categories one will examine 5 initiatives that lead to increased compassion, 6 initiatives in a status quo, and finally 5 that lead to an increase in hostility
